A Mother's Heart ❤️
The Mother’s Day Project Event was a huge success again in 2024! We continue our support of this annual treasure and the organization leading it.
A Women's Journey TN, under the leadership of Founder and Director Carol Harris, along with incredible volunteers, filled 250 bags for the mothers and women of the Nashville Rescue Mission’s Women’s Campus. The Mother’s Day Project Event celebrates 14 years of serving the Women’s Campus. If you’re interested in donating or volunteering for The Mother’s Day Project 2025, please message A Woman's Journey TN to find ways you can participate.

Weekly Food Donations for the Community
In partnership with The Journey Church, your gifts provide food donations to the community food pantry, located in Franconia, VA. Non-perishable food items are stocked weekly for whosoever will that needs extra food assistance. We've also been blessed to provide potatoes and onions during the winter months. Our concern for spoilage was easily ceased after the produce was immediately scooped up!

Student Weekend Supplies
School is not only a place of learning, but also serves as a main supplier of meals for many students. When at home on weekends and during holidays those meals are often missed. Our weekend supplies program helps students maintain nutrition when not in school. We hope to extend this program to supply larger meals and more snacks for students in schools throughout Virginia and Maryland.

School Supply Donations
Providing school supplies between VA, MD, DC, and MI has been a staple of our programs since our inception. Some years have been harder than others. A bright spot has been the outpouring of donations from you, our family and friends. It hasn't always been easy getting schools to participate. It would seem easy to donate school supplies to students in need, but we've meet some angels who've helped us distribute supplies to students year after year. We continue in the pursuit and are thankful for your gifts to help students in need learn and succeed!

Winter Weather Donations
During the winter months, we want to ensure those we're able to help have meals and warm weather items for the holidays! Your gifts ensure Food Lion Food boxes, non-perishable food items, warm clothes and supplies are donated to those that need them especially when temperatures fall! We thank The Historic People's Community Church for their hard work in serving those in the Detroit and Highland Park Communities all year round! Your donations are helping those communities, along with families in VA, MD and DC be warm and feed!

Mentors Leaders
Through donations Global and Community partnerships bring aid, restoration, and sustainability to both the physical and spiritual needs of the people served. In 2024 donations were provided in the ongoing service to communities in El Salvador through mission trips made by Mentors Leaders.

Community Outreach
Our homeless brothers and sisters are always on our minds and in our prayers. Your gifts provide essentials for the homeless and those in shelters. Portable toiletry and snack packs are distributed to anyone in need seen on our streets, in communities, wherever we come upon souls in need. As the cost of supplies have increased, it is our goal to continue to give the same provisions in even greater quantities!

Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas
The Finney Foundation participates annually with Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, a project that collects shoebox gifts for children in need around the world! The project's mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children in need while providing a tangible expression of God's love. Individuals pack shoe boxes with gifts like toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Local churches and ministry partners deliver the gifts at child-friendly outreach events. Children who participate in the program learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. As they do, entire families and communities are transformed by the power of the Gospel, and churches are started.
