"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me." Matthew 25:35

Greetings from the Finney Foundation!

2024 has been a time of preparation and transition, with expectations of the new year filled with change for a lot of American's. One thing we know for sure within that, our desire to help others will not change. Matthew 26:11 reminds us, those that need help will always be with us, and we know The Lord will always provide for us to do so. It's just up to all of us to follow through! We've seen and appreciate your help in 2024 and look forward to continuing to help as many possible, with your continued assistance in 2025. Throughout the pictures and attributes below, please know your contributions help make this possible! The old saying goes, what you see is what you get. We hope you see your gifts at work with even more souls helped in the coming year.

Thank you and God bless you!

Clothing & Supply Donations

During January of 2024, we received a large donation of clothes, shoes and supplies from the Walmart distribution center of Howard County, MD. These items were distributed to students in need within Fairfax County, VA schools.  Although Fairfax County boasts one of the most financially successful counties in VA, it is home to many families struggling to work and live in the county.

Weekly Food Donations for the Community

In partnership with The Journey Church, your gifts provide food donations to the community food pantry, located in Franconia, VA. Non-perishable food items are stocked weekly for whosoever will that needs extra food assistance. We've also been blessed to provide potatoes and onions during the winter months. Our concern for spoilage was easily ceased after the produce was immediately scooped up!

Student Weekend Supplies

School is not only a place of learning, but also serves as a main supplier of meals for many students. When at home on weekends and during holidays those meals are often missed. Our weekend supplies program helps students maintain nutrition when not in school. We hope to extend this program to supply larger meals and more snacks for students in schools throughout Virginia and Maryland.

School Supply Donations

Providing school supplies between VA, MD, DC, and MI has been a staple of our programs since our inception. Some years have been harder than others. A bright spot has been the outpouring of donations from you, our family and friends. It hasn't always been easy getting schools to participate. It would seem easy to donate school supplies to students in need, but we've meet some angels who've helped us distribute supplies to students year after year. We continue in the pursuit and are thankful for your gifts to help students in need learn and succeed!

Community Outreach

Our homeless brothers and sisters are always on our minds and in our prayers. Your gifts provide essentials for the homeless and those in shelters. Portable toiletry and snack packs are distributed to anyone in need seen on our streets, in communities, wherever we come upon souls in need. As the cost of supplies have increased, it is our goal to continue to give the same provisions in even greater quantities!

 Samaritan's Purse  - Operation Christmas

The Finney Foundation participates annually with Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, a project that collects shoebox gifts for children in need around the world! The project's mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children in need while providing a tangible expression of God's love. Individuals pack shoe boxes with gifts like toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Local churches and ministry partners deliver the gifts at child-friendly outreach events. Children who participate in the program learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. As they do, entire families and communities are transformed by the power of the Gospel, and churches are started.
